Ministry of Health and Wellness marks ins and outs at KHMHA

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness has formally announced the appointment by the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Authority (KHMHA) Board of Management of Chandra Nishet Cansino as the new Chief Executive Officer of the KHMHA and thanked holdover Timothy Seguro, Director of Operations for his service.

There is also change to the Board itself, with Chief Executive Officer, MOHW, Dr. Deysi Mendez replaced by Dr. Julio Sabido as the Ministry of Health and Wellness representative. Additionally, Dr. David Hoy and Francois Chebat have resigned. They have been replaced by Dr. Fernando Cuellar and Mrs. Daisy Codd.

Minister Michel Chebat has also requested that the laws governing the KHMHA be amended to allow for the KHMHA Workers’ Union to have a seat on the board to ensure that all employees concerns are addressed at the board level and also to further ensure transparency and accountability.

The Ministry said it remained committed to continue doing all we can to support the success of the KHMHA, especially at this time.
