Vaccinations continuing in Belize District in Belize City and villages this week

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Vaccination is ongoing daily in the Belize District in Belize City, Ladyville, San Pedro, and Caye Caulker.

The Central Health Region in the Ministry of Health said its vaccination drive is on daily from Monday to Friday at Matron Roberts Polyclinic, the Swift Hall, and Port Loyola Health Center in Belize City, and the Caye Caulker Health Center from 8 am to 3 pm. The Central Health Region has vaccinations daily as well from 8 am to 4 pm.

On Saturday, vaccination will continue in Belize City at the Central Health Region and at the Matron Roberts Polyclinic from 7 am to 12 noon.

The Central Health Region is located behind the old Bliss Nursing Center in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital compound (access between Social Security Board and the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital off Princess Margret Drive or next to Social Security on St Joseph St).

For the remainder of the week Central Health Region has vaccinations ongoing at San Pedro, and Ladyville as well.

In San Pedro, vaccinations are being administered at the Lion’s Den on Monday to Thursday from 1:30 pm to 3 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 2 pm. Vaccines will also be administered in San Pedro on Monday and Wednesday at the San Pedro High School Auditorium from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and at the San Pedro High School from 1:30 pm to 3 pm.

In Ladyville, vaccination against COVID-19 is on daily Monday to Friday at the Ladyville Health Center from 8 am to 3 pm. Additionally, vaccines are being administered at the BDF Price Barracks on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 11 am.

This week vaccinations will also be held at Boston Village on Monday from 1-3 pm on Monday, Burrell Boom on Tuesday from 9 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, and at Hattieville from 8 am to 3 pm on Thursday.

“Before you relax, get vax,” says the Ministry of Health and Wellness as they continue encouraging Belizeans 18 years and up to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at any of its vaccination sites countrywide. Plus, if you already got the first dose and eight weeks have passed, you can go in for the second dose.
