Health authorities report 350 new cases of COVID-19; national total now above 20,000 cases

By BBN Staff: Belize’s third wave of COVID-19 continues to hit the country hard, with 350 new cases reported in the latest daily update.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that the 350 new cases were detected from a sample batch of 2,079 tests.

New cases were split between 183 females and 167 males, while the daily positivity rate stood at 17.3

Notably, the number of cases confirmed for today alone exceeded the three-day total of September 25-27, when 345 cases were reported.

Belize has now confirmed a total of 20,295 reported cases.
