By BBN Staff: A Belize City resident was fined this week for breaking COVID-19 prevention regulations.
Jahfari Gonguez, 20, appeared in court to answer to charges of being unable to provide a reason for movements outside of curfew and fail to properly wear a face mask or nose or other face covering.
Police busted Gonguez on Sunday, September 26, 2021, which was designated as one of two “No Movement Sundays” around 9:40 a.m., on Curl Thompson Street.
He was fined $500 for each offense plus $5.00 cost of court for each offense and was ordered to pay by November 15, and December 15, 2021, respectively.
