By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize Port Authority said it closed its offices today Thursday and will reopen on Monday, October 4, at 9 a.m.
“Belize Port Authority implemented a temporary closure of its Headquarters to facilitate a deep cleaning and sanitization exercise,” said the BPA in a press release on Thursday.
“This precautionary measure was implemented for the protection of our staff and customers.”
The BPA said it regrets the inconvenience the temporary closure may cause but reminds its customers that they can still be able to access a wide range of services via their website www.portauthority.bz, email: [email protected], by calling the National Maritime Communication Center at 222-5666, or through their Emergency Number 966.
Meanwhile, the Belize Port Authority said it “encourages all customers to take the necessary precautions to safeguard their health and wellbeing during this challenging period”.
