Belmopan City Council announces changes to market day

By BBN Staff: Today, the Belmopan City Council announced that the weekly market day will have a new venue for the remainder of the year.

The Council explained that, as of Tuesday, October 5, market day will be relocated to Deavon Beaton Park on Hummingbird Drive and will remain there for the next three months.

“This relocation had become necessary for the expansion of the testing and vaccination drive against COVID-19. As such, the parking lot at the Belmopan Civic Center will no longer be available for vendor use,” the Council said.

The Council also reminded vendors to adhere to all COVID-19 prevention protocols at the new market day location.
