By BBN Staff: A Belize City woman managed to escape a fine or prison time in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week but was instead saddled with a $300 peace bond.
Kara Dobson, appeared before Magistrate Audrey Grinage on Thursday, charged with damage to property for smashing the windshield of her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle, valued at $500. She immediately pleaded guilty to the offense.
Under the conditions of her bond, Dobson cannot be charged with any other offense for a period of six months or she will have to pay $300 or serve two months in prison in default.
