The MOHW said 196,910 persons have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. That’s 7,867 new persons vaccinated. As you read this report, that number has already surpassed the 197,000 mark.
Up to the first day of October, 25,153 persons between 12 – 17 years of age have been vaccinated with Pfizer vaccines.
The MOHW started out with AstraZeneca vaccines but has added Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines.
Persons wishing to vaccinate may visit vaccinating sites countrywide and may also register online for an appointment online.
“Vaccinations are now available for everyone; 18 years and older,” said the MOHW.
“Persons who have been vaccinated for at least 8 weeks are asked to visit any Ministry of Health and Wellness health facility to get their second dose of the vaccine. We also advise that even after getting vaccinated, persons are to continue wearing a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often. Please be safe and stay at home unless conducting essential business.”
