By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says there will be an increase in shower activity tonight from an approaching tropical wave.
Skies will be sunny with cloudy spells today and mostly cloudy tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will develop mainly over southern and inland areas today, then increase and spread to the rest of the country tonight.
High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees over the interior and 80 in the hills. Tonight it will be 77 degrees along the coast, 72 inland and 68 in the hills.
Winds are from the east to northeast at 5 to 10 knots. Sea conditions at first will be calm, becoming slight to light chop.
Tides will be high at 9:53 this morning and 9:51 tonight and low at 4:01 this afternoon. Sunset is at 5:37 this evening and sunrise on Thursday morning at 5:43.
On Thursday skies will be cloudy with showers and thunderstorms over most areas, decreasing somewhat on Thursday night.
