BREAKING: Young man critical after shooting a short while ago in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A shooting incident that occurred a short while ago in Belize City has left a young man in critical condition.

According to Police, about 8:00 pm tonight, information was received that shots were fired on Ebony Street behind Uno Gas Station. Police responded and saw a dark skin male person dressed with a white shirt and black jeans with apparent gunshot injuries behind his body. The victim was still alive was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for medical attention.

The shooting victim was identified as 21 year old Maleek Medwood, a resident of #9 Ebony Street in Belize City. Initial investigations reveal that Medwood was walking on Ebony Street heading, when two male person on a motorcycle passed by and shot several times at Medwood.

Medwood is presently enlisted in a critical condition.
