Belize District resident dies from COVID-19

By Aaron Humes: The latest patient with COVID-19 to die is a Belize District female over 60 who was fully vaccinated.

This brings to 29 the number of persons over 60 who have died from the virus, compared to 15 over 50’s, 12 over 40’s, six over 30’s, and four over 20’s in the period between September 1 and October 7.

Vaccination is not a guarantee against getting the disease nor of not spreading it, only of limiting its symptoms. The best way to avoid the disease is to maintain social distancing and personal contact, wash hands frequently, and wear masks properly.
