Dr. Alain Gonzalez: Third COVID-19 wave ‘at climax’

Posted: Thursday, October 7, 2021. 10:46 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: A four-time veteran of the COVID-19 Unit at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), Dr. Alain Gonzalez, at the UDP’s press conference this morning, noted that the current wave of COVID-19 is “at climax,” taxing the already limited resources.

Dr. Gonzalez noted that testing for COVID-19 is free and mandatory for patients, but suggested that private testing sites should consider reducing their prices and easing the burden on the population.

He also noted that he sometimes wonders why, despite the ravages of the disease, so many refuse to be vaccinated.

Dr. Gonzalez also argued that vaccinated persons should have more privileges in their movement than unvaccinated persons, that “the good should not suffer for the bad.”
