Chef’s vehicle stolen in hold-up

By Aaron Humes: A Benque Viejo Town chef, 29-year-old Rafael Guerra, had his vehicle briefly stolen by two robbers on Thursday morning.

Guerra was sitting in his white Toyota 4Runner not far from the Arenal Road when a man approached and held a knife to his throat. A second man entered the backseat and tied his hands.

After a struggle, Guerra escaped and the men sped off in his vehicle, which was later found crashed into a tree at the entrance of Calla Creek Road.

The vehicle is valued at $7,500. Police investigation continues.
