Football Federation of Belize distributes football equipment donated by International Olympic Committee

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has been distributing football equipment donated by the International Olympic Committee through FIFA “to the vulnerable population of footballers affected by hurricanes, covid or poverty,” said the FFB in a statement released on Thursday.

“The equipment is also geared towards the promotion of healthy living and is in preparation for the restart of football,” said the FFB.

The FFB said it has handed over the equipment to childcare facilities, impoverished rural communities, high risk areas in Belize City, and at-risk youths.

“We saw the difference that this gift made for the children, they were extremely happy,” said FFB President Sergio Chuc in speaking about the experience he had in delivering the football equipment which included footballs, disks, polos, and bibs.

The FFB said it thanks FIFA and the International Olympic Committee “for helping the federation to bring smiles and happiness to children across the country of Belize”.
