Six of 11 deaths reported in Cayo District

By Aaron Humes: The death toll over the past three days affected five of six districts, one in particular, and cut across age and vaccination status.

Six of the 11 deaths were reported in the Cayo District, two in the Belize District, and one each in Orange Walk, Stann Creek, and Toledo. Five were male and six female.

Nine of the eleven deaths were unvaccinated; two were fully vaccinated.

Since September 1, 81 persons have died, the majority in their 50s and 60s. The number of vaccinated dead rose to 16.

A total of 442 persons have died since the start of the pandemic.
