By Aaron Humes: Orlando Pascasio, 49-year-old Belizean businessman of Camalote Village, Cayo District, was remanded to the Kolbe Foundation until December 20, 2021.
He appeared in court on charges of possession of a controlled drug with the intent to supply to another.
Police on Wednesday afternoon around 4:20 stopped and searched a gray Toyota Sequoia on Trinity Boulevard in Belmopan, driven by Pascasio. They found a white cooler, which contained a black bag. Upon opening and inspecting the contents of the bag, they discovered five rectangular parcels wrapped in transparent plastic, containing suspected cocaine which amounted to a total of more than 11 pounds.
Pascasio was formally arrested, charged, and arraigned in the Belmopan Magistrates Court where he pleaded not guilty. Bail was denied.
