By Aaron Humes: Forty recruits from Squad 95 of the Belize Police Department participated in in-service training this past Thursday in Belize City, at the campus of the Maud Williams High School next to the Racoon Street Police Station.
The officers were tested on knowledge of patrol procedures and traffic procedures as part of the field training officer program. The purpose was to test, their OJT knowledge and weaknesses.
The recruit officers were also spoken to about discipline, ethics, and other housekeeping.
Whilst the young recruit officers are gaining the theoretical knowledge at the National Police Training Academy, they are gaining practical experience on the streets across our country.
