Additional COVID-19 testing sites now open

By Aaron Humes: In addition to established clinics, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has opened other free testing sites for those who need an alternative to vaccination.

In addition to the Belize Civic Center and Belmopan Civic Center, the following sites have been opened in the various municipalities: Punta Gorda: Red Cross Building; Dangriga, BTL Princess Royal Park; San Ignacio, Falcon Field; Santa Elena, Sports Council Office; Benque Viejo, Marshalleck Cancha; Orange Walk: Central Park, Louisiana Government School, Banquitas House of Culture and People’s Stadium; and Corozal: Civic Center, Chunox Health Center, San Andres Community Center.

All sites are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Anyone can access testing except persons planning to travel.

The Ministry of Health & Wellness continues to encourage persons to get tested and to continue to practice the COVID-19 safety protocols at all times.
