Apparent hit-and-run reported outside Orange Walk Town

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a reported hit-and-run incident outside Orange Walk Town at the San Estevan village roundabout earlier this morning.

Police found the body of a maintenance worker of the Northern Regional Hospital, 36-year-old Brian Anthony Novelo, with head and body injuries on the side of the road by the roundabout. Nearby was a Geo motorcycle with damages.

As far as police can determine, Novelo was hit by a vehicle, which fled the scene. Novelo’s was transported to Northern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
