Belize gets new Cuban Ambassador

By BBN Staff: This week, Belize got a new Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Mrs. María Caridad Balaguer Labrada.

Ambassador Labrada, accompanied by Mr. Gustavo Aguinaga Linares, second secretary, officially presented her credentials to Governor-General of Belize H.E. Froyla Tzalam, at the Belize House in Belmopan on Monday.

At the meeting, the Governor-General conveyed her well wishes to the Government and people of Cuba, while Ambassador Labrada expressed her country’s hope of continuing to strengthen the special bilateral relationship with Belize, which includes cooperation in areas including health, education, and tourism.

She also presented her credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration Eamon Courtenay, yesterday.
