By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center held basic fire management training for 12 trainees.

The training basic fire management training this past weekend taught the trainees theoretical and practical applications of fire, in order to reduce threats to public health, livelihoods, and ecosystems.

“This effort was organized by TBZTEC and our Corridor partners, facilitated by Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE), hosted at Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary – Belize Study Abroad with funding support from the U.S. Embassy Belize,” said The Belize Zoo.
