By BBN Staff: A Belize City man was remanded to prison this week, pending bail, after his reaction to a family dispute landed him with three criminal charges.

Peter Lopez appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with one count of harm upon Diana Lopez, and two counts of common assault upon, Carla Lopez and Julia Lopez.

Lopez pleaded not guilty to all charges, and was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same, but was not able to meet his bail.

He was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until December 8, 2021.
