Confirmed cases of COVID-19 nearing 25,000

By BBN Staff: The latest COVID-19 data produced by the Ministry of Health and Wellness show that the national total for confirmed cases in Belize is steadily approaching 25,000.

Today’s daily COVID-19 report confirmed another 180 new cases, which brought the national total up to 24,948.

The new cases were detected among a sample batch of 1,531 tests.

New cases were split between 94 females and 86 males, while the daily positivity rate stood at 12.0.

There were five new deaths associated with the virus.
