By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says showers activity will continue countrywide today and tonight.
In the 24-hour forecast, skies are predicted to be cloudy with sunny breaks today and cloudy tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will hit most areas but especially the coast and north this morning then inland this afternoon. There will be periods of light rain, showers or thunderstorms mainly over the coast later tonight.
High temperatures are 87 degrees along the coast, 91 degrees inland and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight, it will be 76 degrees along the coast, 72 inland and 66 in the hills.
Winds are easterly at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.
A flood watch is in effect for low-lying and flood-prone areas; a small craft caution is in effect for possible gusty winds and locally rough seas near thunderstorms.
Tides will be high at 11:11 this morning and 10:33 this evening and low at 4:50 this afternoon. Sunset is at 5:26 this evening and sunrise Saturday morning is at 5:47.
For Saturday expect cloudy spells with a few showers and thunderstorms along the coast in the morning and in the south later at night.
