By BBN Staff: Police say that a pickup belonging to the Government of Belize was stolen this morning during a home invasion in Hope Creek Village, Stann Creek District.

Agriculture Officer Fred Roaches told police he was at home around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, when two men, one armed with a shotgun and the other with a knife, entered his home.

Roaches was robbed of his cellphone and other items along with the keys to the Totoya Hilux. The men then made their escape and the vehicle was recovered off a feeder through Canada Hill approximately 7 off the Hummingbird Highway, in Hope Creek Village.

Police are investigating.
