Prices to rise for regular gasoline and diesel at midnight

By Aaron Humes: The prices of regular gasoline and diesel are going up at midnight tonight.

Regular gasoline will increase by 33 cents from $11.49 to $11.82 per gallon. Diesel will increase by 12 cents from $10.70 to $10.82 per gallon.

The prices for premium gasoline and kerosene will remain unchanged at $11.76 and $7.69 per gallon, respectively.

As per usual the Government blames “current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.”

And it repeats that “The Government of Belize is monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.”
