Number of hospitalizations and ICU patients continues to fall

By Aaron Humes: From a high of 50 just a week ago today, the number of persons hospitalized for COVID-19 is now at 29, down by nearly a half.

From ten on Friday, the number of persons in intensive care with COVID-19 rose slightly to 12.

Exactly half the patients are unvaccinated but 11 are fully vaccinated.

Three of the 12 ICU admissions are fully vaccinated, two partially and the rest unvaccinated.

Belizeans are reminded to get their vaccinations as soon as possible to increase their chances of protection from the virus in addition to following the protocols regarding handwashing, mask-wearing, and social distancing.
