The MOHW said that by Monday, 173,518 persons had been fully vaccinated in Belize, that’s 2,432 more getting their second dose since the last report on Friday, October 22.

In total, 2,813 persons 18 and older were vaccinated since the previous report on Friday, October 22.

Up to October 25, a total of 27,914 persons between 12 – 17 years of age have been vaccinated with Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines. Since Friday, 142 more persons in this age group got vaccinated.

The MOHW is vaccinating with AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines.

Persons wishing to vaccinate may visit vaccinating sites countrywide and may also register online for an appointment.

“Vaccinations are now available for everyone; 12 years and older. Persons who have been vaccinated for at least 8 weeks are asked to visit any Ministry of Health and Wellness health facility to get their second dose of the vaccine,” said the MOHW.

The MOHW also advises “that even after getting vaccinated, persons are to continue wearing a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often. Please be safe and stay at home unless conducting essential business”.
