Teen reportedly shot in Belize City

By BBN Staff: There was a shooting reported this afternoon in Belize City.

Reports are that the incident happened in the May Flower area of Lake Independence.

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Unitedville Village resident Jason Smith.

Smith was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right leg and is listed as being in stable condition.

Police are investigating.
