Active COVID-19 cases remain above 2,600

By BBN Staff: Active cases of COVID-19 have come down from over 2,800 reported in recent weeks but still remain over 2,600; according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).

The MOHW reports that active cases are currently at 2,663, with another 255 suspected cases under investigation.

Hospitalizations relating to the virus have gone down to 33, with 10 patients receiving critical care in the intensive care unit.

The MOHW also reported that 283 new patients have recovered from their infection, bringing the national total for recoveries up to 23,240.

The national recovery rate was adjusted to 87.9.
