Belize Water Services temporarily closes San Ignacio / Santa Elena branches due to COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Belize Water Services (BWS) is temporarily closing its San Ignacio/Santa Elena Branch Office, in line with protocols established by health authorities.

The utility company said that the closure took immediate effect today, Thursday, October 28, and the branch will remain closed until further notice.

“Once more information becomes available, customers will be updated on the re-opening. In the meantime, payments can be made through the online banking services, and customer services requests can be submitted by WhatsApp, Email, and Facebook,” BWS said.

BWS said that it continues to adhere to all safety guidelines, including those provided by the Ministry of Health & Wellness and our Pandemic Policy. The company also reminded the public of the importance of wearing facemasks properly, washing & sanitizing hands regularly, practicing social distance, and avoiding being in crowded environments.
