By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says fair and warm weather prevails today but tonight, get ready for the first cold front of the late-year which will bring cooler temperatures and rain.
The daytime will be sunny and warm with some showers and isolated thunderstorms inland this afternoon. It will be cloudy at times tonight with showers, thunderstorms, and rain for most of the country.
High temperatures are 91 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 96 inland, and 84 in the hills. These drop to 76 degrees tonight along the coast, 72 inland, and 67 in the hills.
Winds initially will be from the east at 5 to 10 knots, later becoming north to northwest at 10 to 20 knots and gusty. Sea state is light chop. A small craft caution goes into effect later tonight.
Tides will be low at 10:24 this morning and 9:01 tonight and high at 4:56 this afternoon. Sunset is at 5:22 and sunrise on Friday at ten minutes to six in the morning.
On Friday the arriving cold front supports cooler temperatures, showers, rain, and thunderstorms over most areas, decreasing Friday night.
