‘Britney breaks free’ in Belize: Pop superstar lands in Belize for private island vacation

Posted: Thursday, October 28, 2021. 7:40 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Belize is no stranger to the odd American celebrity or two dropping by, and tonight it appears there is a global superstar among our ranks.

Britney Spears, 39, posted on Instagram this evening a short video detailing her experience as she is about to board a helicopter from a place that looks suspiciously like the Philip Goldson International Airport and being spoken to by an attendant with a noticeable Belizean accent.

The pop star and mother of two wrote: “Arriving on a private island…it’s nice here but waaayyy too hot,” with three sun emojis following. We agree, after all; it’s Britney…

With a cold front coming in temperatures should dip back to the temperate region most Americans prefer, but if she is here, it sounds like the Jewel has left a decent first impression.

Spears is coming off a legal victory removing herself from the care of father Jamie, from a legal conservatorship that managed her professional and personal life for more than a decade and a half and has caused strain within her family amid allegations of abuse and mistreatment.

What better place, then, to come and leave all one’s cares behind. If she’s here, we say enjoy, as we know you will, and be sure to spread the word when you get back home. #FreeBritney
