By Aaron Humes: After many days when you needed more than two hands to count the number of new COVID-19 cases, today most can be counted on less than that.
The exceptions are Belize City with 37 new cases of 50 in the Belize District and Dangriga with 18 new cases of 45 in the Stann Creek District.
Two municipalities, Benque Viejo Town and Corozal Town, each reported no new cases; the high among the other municipalities save the City and Griga was nine in San Pedro Town.
Still, this is no time to let our guard down and so Belizeans are encouraged to wear their masks, social distance, limit movement, and gatherings and complete your vaccination regimen.
In related news, Prime Minister John Briceño shot down rumors of an earlier curfew and no movement Sunday, which we are told was originated in Jamaica.
