By Aaron Humes: After a spike in the number of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 on Thursday, the number fell in today’s data collated by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
33 patients are now hospitalized, down from 41 on Thursday and matching Wednesday’s figures. It is however a net increase of four from the start of the week where there had been 29 patients.
The number of persons in intensive care has risen to 14 from 10 on Thursday, a net increase of two from the start of the week.
19 of those in hospital beds are unvaccinated, four partially vaccinated and nine fully vaccinated with one of uncertain status.
Eight of the ICU admissions are unvaccinated, two partially so and four fully so.
