By BBN Staff: As we reported earlier, 18-year-old Eaton Thompson was shot dead in Mahogany Heights this morning.
Police say that the investigation into his death is still in its preliminary stage as the incident only occurred hours ago, however, the way it was carried out has investigators looking closely at the possibility of a prior altercation.
Head of Media Relations for the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Fitzroy Yearwood, spoke to the media today on the incident, saying that when someone is killed in broad daylight the way Thompson was, police have to consider all possible angles.
“The nature of his attack would suggest that someone was looking for him that probably feuded with him,” Yearwood said.
He added that the loss hit close to home for the department, as Thompson’s father is employed as a janitor at the Raccoon Street Police Station.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
