499 Belizeans have lost their lives to COVID-19

By Aaron Humes: In 19 months, 499 Belizeans have lost their lives to COVID-19.

It is a staggering number, including the four who died over the last 24 hours after four died this past weekend.

One death was a male, the others female. Deaths were located in San Pedro Town and in mainland Belize District as well as Orange Walk District and Toledo District.

Two of the dead were unvaccinated, one partially vaccinated and one fully vaccinated.
