Number of intensive care patients rises again

By Aaron Humes: 32 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19, an increase of one from the weekend data.

However, 17 persons are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, an increase of two from the weekend.

This strain resources such as oxygen and ventilation machines, which are needed for patients unable to breathe on their own as the virus ravages their lungs.

20 of the hospitalized and 11 of the ICU patients are unvaccinated. Five of the hospitalizations and two of the ICU patients are partially vaccinated. And, seven of the hospitalized and four of the ICU patients are fully vaccinated.
