Dr. Cecilio Ek – Coral Grove Medical Center wants you to send some love to their pediatrician

By Benjamin Flowers: It has been widely reported that well-known pediatrician Dr. Cecilio Eck has been battling COVID-19. Today Coral Grove Medical and Pediatric Center said that his recovery is an up-hill struggle and is asking patients and their families to send him their support.

The clinic took to Facebook this morning, asking parents of his patients to join in a campaign geared towards lifting his spirits and encouraging him to keep fighting the virus, that has claimed the lives of almost 500 Belizeans.

“We’re asking that his little patients send a short voice recording with a word of encouragement or prayer to our office WhatsApp cell 632-6272 and we will be sure he gets to hear all of them. We know how he loves and cares for all his little patients and we believe it will definitely help him through this recovery phase,” the clinic said.

The clinic also extended gratitude for those who have displayed their support for Dr. Eck through this difficult time. When news of Dr. Eck’s condition broke last week, there was an outpour of support and well-wishes for him from the medical community and Belizeans from all walks of life.
