New COVID data shows slightly more new cases than recoveries, no change in deaths or hospitalizations

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness data for today, Wednesday, shows an additional 218 new cases against 203 recoveries from COVID-19.

Active cases are thus up slightly to 2,340, with 234 samples under investigation.

Neither any new deaths nor changes in the figures for persons hospitalized and in intensive care were recorded. 499 have died from COVID-19; 32 remain hospitalized and 17 are in intensive care.
