Belize Investment Summit still accepting pitches from startup businesses to receive $9,000 in funding

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Investment Summit (BIS) says that entrepreneurs with a start-up business still have an opportunity to win $9,000 in funding for their business by submitting their business pitch.

The BIS issued a call for business pitches on its Facebook page, reminding entrepreneurs that they have up to November 10, 2021, to submit their pitch.

Winners will be announced on day two of the summit, which is being held at the Grand Caribe Hotel, San Pedro, Ambergris Caye from Novemebr 10-11 under the theme: Belize: Open for Business in San Pedro, Belize. .

The funds are being provided through a collaboration with Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) and the Embassy of Tawian and Taiwan ICDF (International Cooperation and Development Fund).

According to the BIS’s promotional material, Belize has $500 million-plus in investment opportunities in agriculture, aquaculture, tourism which will be discussed throughout the summit.
