Ministry of Health & Wellness celebrates Dental Health Week

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health & Wellness (MOHW) is celebrating Dental Health Week from October 31st – November 6th, 2021.

This year’s Health Week theme is “Healthy teeth, healthy gum, keep my mask from going down”.

The MOHW makes an appeal to Belizeans to “visit with your local public dental health clinics countrywide to learn more about this week’s activities. Help us promote healthy oral hygiene practices.”

Dental Health Week is observed to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.

Dentists normally advise their patients that they should make biannual dental dates to ensure that one’s teeth are in good condition and avoid complications along with the accompanying expenses. They also remind Belizeans to take care of their teeth by brushing and flossing regularly.
