Teenage girls that ran away from Cayo children’s home have been found

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department has confirmed that the two teenage girls that escaped from a Cayo children’s home have been found.

This morning the Police Media Relations Unit said that 14-year-old Nolia Galeas of Independence Village, Stann Creek District, and 15-year-old Jennifer Duarte, of Corozal Town, both of whom escaped the facility on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, were found safe.

The teens are presently at the Belmopan Police Station.

Thanks are extended to everyone that assisted in trying to ensure their safe return.
