One man dead and another injured in highway pileup

By Aaron Humes: Police are looking into a fatal collision in the Central Farm area of the Cayo District on Friday evening.

Between miles 65 and 66 on the George Price Highway, two vehicles were found off the road and a third in a pasture extensively damaged.

Heraldo Antonio Lopez, 30, Technician of Chaa Creek Road, who was seated in the pan of the pickup fell out and received serious head and body injuries; he died on the spot. Mario Recinos, 30, of Kontiki Extension also received body injuries. Recinos is still admitted in stable condition.

Police say that notices of intended prosecution (NIP) have been served & statements recorded as part of their investigations.
