By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Prime Minister John Briceño and Foreign Minister Eamon Courtenay held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada on the margins of #COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Both leaders shared their strong hope for ambitious climate action said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a social media post.

Both Briceño and Courtenay are at the COP26, the world climate change summit, along with a Belize delegation.

In his presentation at COP 26 earlier in the week, Briceño challenged the developed countries to make more contributions to contain the negative impact of climate change which is severely damaging the Belize Barrier Reef and the countries in the region, particularly the Caribbean.
