Eleven to be charged in relation to drug plane landing – Includes Cops, Mennonites, Farmers and other civilians

By BBN Staff: A total of 11 individuals, including a number of policemen, 2 Mennonites from the Orange Walk district, 3 farmers from the Stann Creek district and other civilians are to be charged for “Conspiracy to land a plane at an unlicensed aerodrome”. Police have prepared the charge sheet and it is expected that the 11 individuals may be arraigned as early as tomorrow.

The men, whose name are being withheld until charges are formally laid, are being charged in relation to the landing of a white twin engine aircraft on the Southern Highway on Thursday, November 4, 2021. The twin engine aircraft is suspected of being used to transport drugs. Police detained nine persons on the said Thursday and detained two other individuals after.
