New COVID-19 deaths reported across country and San Pedro Town

By Aaron Humes: A total of six men and four women died from COVID-19 complications countrywide in the last 24 hours after a full weekend without any deaths.

They include two residents of San Pedro Town, three from the mainland Belize District, two in Orange Walk, two in Cayo, and one in Stann Creek.

Sorted by vaccination status, six were reported unvaccinated, two partially vaccinated, and two fully vaccinated.

A total of 158 persons have died from COVID-19 since September 1. In the month of November, the death toll has now reached 24.

Among the dead, 29 persons since September 1 were fully vaccinated and 19 were partially vaccinated. Of the fully vaccinated, a majority were 60 years and older and likely suffered from comorbidities such as diabetes and hypertension.
