Deadly stretch continues for COVID-19 pandemic; 35 lives lost in first ten days of November

By Aaron Humes: The total national death toll from COVID-19 is now 530, with 35 of those reported in just the first ten days of this month – an average of more than three per day.

11 new deaths were recorded today, tying a single-day national record set last year.

Seven men and four women died around the country in the past 24 hours, including three each in the Belize, Cayo and Stann Creek Districts, one in San Pedro Town and one in Orange Walk.

Six of the eleven were unvaccinated; three partially vaccinated; and two fully vaccinated.
