US Embassy wishes the US Marine Corps Happy 246th Birthday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The US Embassy today honoured and celebrated the US Marine Corps and wished them a “Happy 246th Birthday”.

“Today, U.S. Embassy Belmopan hosted its traditional cake-cutting ceremony to mark the birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps,” said the US Embassy on social media. “We celebrate the valiant men and women who stand guard day and night, ensuring the safety and security of the U.S. Mission in Belize and around the globe. We remain inspired by their courage and dedication to defend the freedom and integrity of the United States.”

The US Embassy said that they also remember the members of the Marine Corps who lost their lives in service.

“Since 1948, the Marine Security Guards have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with their embassy colleagues and remain an integral part of the work we do,” said the US Embassy. “They are our first hello at the start of the day and our final goodbye at the day’s end.”
