Selvin Hernandez, 45, out on bail for ‘sexual assault’ after allegedly grabbing 15-year-old girl inappropriately

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man is out on bail after being charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

Forty-five-year-old Selvin Adalid Hernandez was arraigned in court on Wednesday, charged with grabbing the buttocks of a female minor while returning from going to the shop with her sibling.

Magistrate Audrey Grinage offered him bail in the sum of $3,000 plus one surety of the same amount which he was able to meet.
Hernandez’s next court date is set for January 12, 2022.

The girl’s mother said that the incident happened on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at around 7:30 p.m., and after finding out about it they immediately contacted the police.
